time travel part 2..... THE FUTURE, is it written????

Alright, so before I talk about the energy equation, I will talk about going into the future & before that there is one more thing which makes me believe that traveling to past is not possible, it is actually just a extension of my 1st point, but will help you understand better that why would traveling into past must not be possible.

It is said that Cockroaches came to India from America in a ship, that came to India from America. Well i wouldn't dwell into validity of that, but what I wish to point is that, if traveling into past becomes possible and the time traveler carries some deadly disease to the past for which the past might not have a cure, it could lead to extinction of mankind way back in past, which would mean that there wouldn't be any future where a time machine would be built, which wouldn't result in anyone coming back to plant that disease, so that makes a impossible equation. I hope I got my point across.

OK. Now lets think about travelling into the future. Now lets ponder over the thought that would future travel be possible, or could future travel result in some catastrophe like traveling into past, that we just discussed.

When we are discussing below, please keep in mind that even if travel to future was possible, it would mean if a person went into future, he would be stuck there. Why? because traveling back to the past would not be possible because of the reasons explained above. What needs to be understood is that, Past, Present & Future are just relative trames, relative to the time now. For example 2011 was future for us when we were in 2010. It is now our present and next year it would be our past. So once a traveler goes to future, it then becomes his present & he cant go back to the past(relative to time he would then be in).

1. Would traveling into future be possible???

- I don't really see any benefits & possibilities of doing it, but then im no big visionary after all. So I would like you people to explore the possibilities if we are able to go to our future. But understand, its a one-way trip, you cant come back!!!! If you go into future you stay there and you cant come back. Well now when I was typing it, I just came with a brilliant use of it..... I could just send some people to future(you know the people I dont like).... Legally speaking I wouldn't be killing them.... Muhaha :)

a. So could traveling into future, result in a catastrophe???? I don't really think so. Every second, actually every nano-second, we are all going into the future, that's how the world works!!! It is just that a time-traveller might go into the future faster than the rest of us. Even if he carries a disease or anything into the future, the future must have already seen it and would have a remedy for it. Even if the future doesn't have a remedy for it, it wont be able to spread its ill-effects into present(past relative to the then future)... Traveling into future can lead to catastrophic effects, but that would not be breaking the laws of nature. Well the kind of weapons the human-kind possess now, it can lead to a catastrophe now. I believe, right this second, if all nuclear weapons possessed by all the nations in this world are deployed it can burn out every living thing on the land. So if there is catastrophe it would be because of the actions of us, the humans, but not because the fabric of space and time would be jumbled up.

So as per the above, travelling into future might be possible. I just came up with a use of future travel. It is widely said according to mayan calendar that 25-dec-2012 is the doom day for this earth & as per Hindu mythology books, the dooms day is after about 65000 years from now. Based on these studies and assumptions we can send various time travelers to travel through time and keep traveling into the future till they go past dooms day. So that would stop the human race and lots of other animals that we choose to take on travel with us to stop from extinction. Ya I see a possible use now, but this might also not hold good. Why? read on...

b. So what about the theory of conservation of energy???? How would the theory of conservation of energy hold good????

- Before you go any further, if you believe that travelling into future was possible, then what you are emphasizing is that future is already written by god/nature. Now we humans before taking a decision do a lot of thinking, in other ways do a lot of permutations & combinations to decide what we would do, and it just not our thinking/decisions that effect us but each and every living being's(not just humans) thinking which in some way, small or big effects our life. So by believing that traveling into future would be possible what you are believing that god/nature has done such a huge calculation(let me tell you that never & i mean never ever would mankind be able to build such a super computer to do such a calculation) and is actually controlling not only our actions but even our thoughts & feelings. Not the actions, thoughts & feelings of just you & me but of all the living beings on this earth. Actually if you believe that traveling into future would be possible, you are believing that god/nature is not controlling us but has actually made a parallel world already, where our next action is stored as a snap-shot and just as the time axis moves forward we go to the next snap-shot/image. Which means we are just a 3D, actually 4D movie for god. Now is that what you think???

Above is the answer for the law of conservation of energy. That is, when the world/universe was created, it wasn't just one world or universe, but a set of parallel universes were created till inifinity. A snapshot of universe for every second. Which would just mean that we are just a 4D movie. So now the theory of conversation of energy holds good. cos, all the energy was created back then.

By believing above, it would emphasise that all actions of every living being would be meaning less, because it was already decided by the nature/god that it was to happen so. It would be meaningless to give credit to Einstein for his discoveries because it was not his brain but the choice of nature. It would be meaningless to praise the heros in our lives, cos they didn't do anything on their own will, they were chosen by nature. It would be meaningless to punish someone for their crime, cos the person did not do it because he wanted, but he did because he did not have a choice, it was the nature which did it all. All actions, especially of mankind would become meaningless!!! It would all be god's will.

So in case if man-kind ever makes a machine to go into future, it would not be him, but the nature. There is one scenario in which traveling into future would be possible, without the above mentioned snap-shot thing, will discuss it in the next post....

time travel.... Travelling to past is it possble???

Alright..... I have been fascinated by this idea of time travel thanks to many movies like "Back to the future - triology", krish, etc.......

On our trip recently, me and my cousins were discussing this mysterious and magical topic..... somehow science is exciting. Since then my grey cells have been continously working thinking in every possible way about this fourth dimension of world called time.... so I started with the most primitive of questions......

1. Is it possible to travel back in time to the past???

- Think about the opportunities we would have if we could do this. We could travel back in time and correct things that we want to. Just like in the movie Action Replayy!!!

Alright, for the people who haven't seen the movie Action Replayy, the plot of the movie in brief is.... A boy gets in to the time machine made by his girl-friend's grandpa to go back in the past and smoothen the relationship of his father and mother that once went sour even before they were married. The boy succeeds in it & as a result his parents marry 5 years earlier to when they were actually supposed to.

a. So in the above case you see, the boy changes his past & as a result his parents marry 5 years earlier. If anything like that happens this couldn't have resulted in the birth of the boy itself, which could further not result in him coming back from future, which further could not let the relationship of his mother and father become sweet, which could further not result in them marrying 5 years earlier.
But now the present truth would be, they marry 5 years earlier. Which is not possible. So if travel back in past would be possible, it would only result in catastrophe, which should be against natures will and the basic nature or element of fiber on which this universe is built.

b. There is one more reason why i believe travelling back in time would not be possible. The law or reason for my belief is one of the theories of our beloved, world famous scientist Mr. Albert Einstein. He made a very simple theory that Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed.
If we were to believe that travelling back in past would be possible it would mean, world creating a snap shot of itself every nano-second, i.e a parrallel universe is created every nano-second, i.e every momentum/movement is carried-forward in the future and the past holds a snap shot of the entire world, just like a photograph.
So practically what is being emphasised is that every nano-second energy is being created. An equal amount of energy, equal to what is present now. This breaks the basic theory on which a lot of our units function now.
So this theory becomes quite un-believable.

So I deduce that travelling BACK in time is not possible. But if you have some other theory or thoughts... Im open for a debate....

महोदय,
मैं आपका ध्यान IPC, 1860 के धारा 498A के दुरूपयोग की तरफ आकर्षित करना चाहता हूँ| यह क़ानून उस समय के परिस्थिति के अनुसार बहुत अच्छे उद्देश्य से बनाया गया था| किन्तु आज की सामाजिक मूल्य और परिस्थितियों के बदलने के कारण इस क़ानून का दुरूपयोग ही हो रहा है| साधारणतया लड़कियां कोई भी बात या कार्य अपनी मनमर्जी के अनुसार न होने पर अपने पति एवं ससुराल पक्ष के सम्बन्धियों को पहले तो धमकाती और Blackmail करती हैं, सामने से कोई भी प्रतिक्रिया होते ही सीधे शिकायत कर के ससुराल पक्ष को जेल करवाने की कोशिश पर उतर जाती है|

मेरा आपसे विनम्र निवेदन है की इस पर ध्यान देते हुए आप इस कानून में उपयुक्त संशोदन करने की व्यवस्थता करें|

इस कानून के कुछ बुरे परिणाम:
१. नौजवान पीढ़ी, बुजुर्ग, बच्चे, औरतें, गर्भवती महिलाएं, सभी को Harassment होती है|
- यहाँ तक की इस काननों के कारन एक २ माह के बच्चे को भी जेल जाना पढ़ा है|

२. इस कानून का दुरूपयोग कर के अनगिनत मूल्यहीन महिलाओं ने बड़ी रकमें वसूल की है| देखादेखी अनेक लड़कियां इसे आसान कमाई का ज़रिया बना रही हैं| कहीं-कहीं तो इसी उद्देश्य को सामने रखकर शादियाँ हो रही है|

३. Dowry Death कानून का भी बहुत दुरूपयोग हो रहा है| मृत घोषित की गई औरत भी जिंदा पाई गई हैं|

४. ऐसे भी कई केस हैं जहाँ एक ही लड़की ने अनेक शादियाँ करके Black Mail करके अथवा केस कर लड़कों को लूटा है|

५. इस कानून को लड़कियां, लड़के को उसके माँ-बाप से अलग करने अथवा अपने पीहर में जाकर रहने के लिए मजबूर कर देती हैं|

६. इस कानून के कारण लड़की द्वारा परिवार के बड़े बुजुर्गों की बेइज्जती करने की परम्परा बनती जा रही है|

७. जुर्म साबित होने तक हर व्यक्ति निर्दोष होता है, किन्तु इस कानून मैं मात्र शिकायत पर ही व्यक्ति को अपराधी मान लिया जाता है| यह इस कानून का सबसे गलत प्रावधान है|

८. अनेक समय, लड़की का अन्य प्रेम प्रसंग चलने पर, माता-पिता द्वारा दबाव से शादी काराने पर इस कानून का सहारा लड़की लेती है|

९. पति-पत्नी के अलग हो जाने पर भी, Child-Custody को लेकर औरत पुरुष को 498A का केस करने की धमकी देती है और कानून का दुरूपयोग करती है|

१०. इस कानून के कारण हमारे देश का पारिवारिक संस्कृति भी खत्म हो रहा है|

११. बहुत से नवयुक और उसके परिवारवाले प्रताडना न झेल पाने की दशा में आत्महत्या भी कर लेते हैं|

इस कानून के दुरूपयोग के मुख्य कारण:

१. इसमें Arrest करने के लिए Warrant की ज़रूरत नहीं है|(Cognizable)

२. इसमें Bail सिर्फ कोर्ट से ही मिलती है|(Non-Bailable)

३. यह केस वापस नहीं लिए जा सकते|(Non-Compoundable)

४. गलत सिकायत करने वालों को सजा का कोई प्रावधान नहीं है|

५. जो लोग निर्दोष साबित हो जाते हैं, उन्हें समाज नहीं स्वीकारता|

६. निर्दोष व्यक्ति को आर्थिक, सामाजिक एवं व्यक्तिगत हानि का कोई मुआवजा नहीं है|

७. लोगों को गलत केस करने से निरुत्साहित या उन्हें रोकने का कोई प्रावधान नहीं है|

८. जो अधिकारी गलत केस में लड़की पक्ष की मदद करते हैं, या उनका साथ देते हाँ, उन पर कार्यवाही या दंड का कोई प्रावधान नहीं है|

९. लड़कियों द्वारा किये गए अत्याचार, जुर्म से रक्षा के लिए कोई कानून या प्रावधान नहीं है|

१०. लड़की की शिकायत मात्र को बिना किसी जांच, पूछताछ एवं सबूत के सच मान लिया जाता है और लड़के और उसके परिवार को सजा दे दी जाती है|

११. लड़की परिवार के किसी भी सदस्य, रिश्तेदार या मित्र, जिसका भी नाम शियात में लिख देती है उस पर कानूनी कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी जाती है या गिरफ्तार भी कर लिया जाता है, भले ही उस व्यक्ति की इसमें कोई भी धकालान्दाजी न हो|

१२. कानून एवं समाज का झुकाव पूर्णतः लड़की(दुल्हन) की तरफ है|

१३. दुल्हन के सिवा यह कानून लड़के, उसकी माँ, उसके पिता, उसकी बहनों, भाइयों या किसी भी और के प्रति पूर्णतः असवेंदंशील है|

निवेदन :
मेरा आपसे निवेदन है की लाखों, करोंडों लोगों को इस असवेंधानिक कानून से कृपया निजात दिलाएं और कानून में उपयुक्त संशोधन करें ताकि मूल्यहीन, ब्रष्ट और निर्मम लोगों की वजह से मासूम एवं निर्दोष लोगों को बचाया जा सके| ऐसा कानून बनायें जिसे कोई भी अपने निजी स्वार्थ या बदला लेने के लिए दुरपयोग ना कर सके|

दोषियों को सजा देना ज़रूरी है, लेकिन उससे ज़रूरी है निर्दोषों की सुरक्षा|

मेरे कुछ सुझाव:
१. कृपया 498A को Bailable, Non-Cognizable एवं Compoundable बनायें|

२. गलत उपयोग/शिकायत दर्ज करने वालों के ऊपर कड़े दंड का प्रावधान हो|

३. इस कानून का गलत उपयोग करने वाले द्वारा निर्दोष व्यक्ति को उसके आर्थिक, सामजिक एवं व्यक्तिगत नुक्सान की उपयुक्त भरपाई करने का प्रावधान हो|

४. कानून महिलों एवं पुरषों के लिए एक सामान हो|

५. इस तरह के पारिवारिक केसों का निपटारों एक तय समय सीमा के अंदर हो, जैसे ६ माह के अंदर|

इस विषय में और चर्चा और परामर्श करने के लिए में कभी भी तत्पर तयार हूँ| में Committee से मिल कर उनके समक्ष अपनी बात को और विस्तार में चर्चा करने में इक्षुक हूँ| कृपया मुझे committee से मिलने का मौका प्रधान करें|

Law Commission, मलिमथ कोम्मित्ती ने अपनी १५४ वि रिपोर्ट में यह स्वीकारा है की 498A कानून का दुरूपयोग हो रहा है|

Adndro-Humanoid Robot..... A reality or illusion????

Alright....

I happened to watch a movie "Enthiran - The Robot" by the superstar god Rajnikanth.... Alright the concept of AI(Artifical Intillegence) and its possible shortcomings have been beautifully depicted in the movie.... but it made a few grey cells in my head to work.....

Human Brain and its thought process is really complex... it takes atleast 18yrs alright.... atleast 14yrs to mature.... and still it cant understand everything going around... actually it can understand only a v.little of the things going around..... understanding emotions and taking the correct decisions is a completely different story.....

In such complexity how is it possible to define everything stepwise in a Algorithm???? Or to fix a if-then clause to determine action of the robot??????

It took man centuries and milleniums to discover the inherent capabilities of nature..... and still it cant all be said to be true, they are all assumptions... for example "Gravity".... Just think over how many centuries did it take man to discover gravity in the right sense.... So if computers get AI will they make all the discoveries which man has still not been able to understand????

And if computers/robots are able to make all the discoveries and also able to act on them..... wont they be able to make a new earth/universe/galaxy............ wont then robots be god!!!!!!!!!!

well alright... you may just considering that as my mind throwing up..... so i dont think robots and AI even as a far away possibility...........

but then there is one human nature that surpasses all the doubts and logic......

Its always Human who has made every impossible..... Possible!!!!!!!!!!!

A continuous change towards better understanding - The Stock Market

Hi....

Im trying to write my learning from the stock market....

My dad is completely against the idea of stock market, his ideology is when you are selling or buying shares no actual product or service or right is bought or sold, so practically the stock market contributes nothing to the country's economy and eventually it will contribute nothing to you. One more idea was if you are making a profit now, either somebody else is booking loss now or will book loss on a later date. Well...... I always thought that to be right, and still believe in some of it, and thats a different debate all together....

Then in colleges my friends started investing in stock market, either with no margins or little margins but mainly losses. Then my brothers started investing in stock markets, ending up in losing all the money given to them for that. One of my friends went to an extent where he is still facing a debt of about 2lacs after about 7yrs from booking that loss, he is repaying it slowly.

All the above made me stay away from the market, I never ventured into the details. But then one of my friend started working in Karvy stock broking and he started telling me that people who go for short-term or intra-day or buy-calls on the T.V. are the ones who are regularly facing losses. On my chat with my friends and brothers and asking them of their trends while investing in the market, I got to know all of them faced losses coz they followed these three ways of investing.

I had also heard about Warren-buffet and there were a few success stories I heard, that made me curious about this hype called share-market. There were a few shares my father had from the Harshad Mehta period, I decided to sell them coz they werent performing too good in term of returns so I got them dematerialized and then started my journey towards investing in stock.....

I made a general assumption that all shares will move in the shape of a sine curve(i.e regular ups & downs),so buying a share while its at its all time lowest must do. But that theory didnt work. I also got charmed by the blitz of the market and burned my fingers a little in intraday calls by EXPERTS.

Then I started understanding the shares I had invested in a little, I got to know about P/BV, EPS & P/E. I started investing in shares with lower P/BV and that didnt work. Then I started investing in shares with a good P/E, lower P/BV, shares which are lower in the curve and with low P/C. this model was a little fruitful, but i wasnt going for the right kind of shares, and now i follow the below procedure when investing in shares(thanks to stock-shastra) and this has now started to show good results and I believe there is still lot of scope of improvement for me and I will keep learning and improving.....

1. Stock should be trading @ a v.low P/E compared to the Industry P/E. (No need to ignore companies that are not earning presently.)

2. There should be continual improvement in the sales of the company.

3. P/BV should be inline with the industry. The lower the better.

4. Debt Ratio and the company should be cash rich.(Even buffet suggests on investing in companies that are cash rich.)

5. Market Cap of the company. (The higher the better. Companies with lower market cap dont grow that fast.)

6. Branding of the products that companies manufacture. ( I personally feel in future the biggest assets of the companies would be their intellectual properties.)

7. Management of the company.

8. Patents / Trade Secrets, Toll, Monopoly, Switching cots for consumer, Cost of the product manufactured.

I intend to include the following in my future investment decisions:

9. Cyclicality factor of the Industry.(Actually I had this in my mind, as I was avoiding software company & cement company stocks for this reason)

Pssst.... I believe the cement industry is going through the worse phase of the cycle and textile industry in the best phase.

10. Future growth opportunities for the company and industry.

Stubble Rubble!!!!

Scientists believe our future generations would be more smarter, faster and devoid of hair..... Their prediction seems to have come true too early.... if we are to go by the words of Mr. Anand Kumar(09845309418, anand@corvoshandwick.co.in) of WALS as per the article on http://consumer.admanya.com/pressrelease/w_a_l_s_if_men_don men are no longer allowed to have stubble and i guess even beard.....

Sorry Saifu now you wont be able to impress kareena with that stubble of yours.... also sorry to all the south stars Surya, Vikram, Ajith, Vijay, etc.... if any of you even think of sporting a stubble Inspector Anand Kumar from WALS Police Station will strike on you..... And if we are to believe Mr.Anand with a stubble you may find all your girl/women fans spitting on you :( Now you wouldnt like that..........

Mr. Anand & WALS has a idea that if a man has a stubble he is lazy and is not grooming for his mate.... But, all this time I was believing this study on www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/3345796/women-prefer-men-with-stubble-for-love-sex-and-marriage.html which says women prefer having men with stubble.... You know I had such a hard time trying to control my beard to just the right length.... Phew! but now I get to know that I am lazy.....

1. Now WALS has certified every soldier who is on a war and has not eaten for days, fighting for the country and Males like Mr.Anand and women of WALS, living in un-earthy conditions(contradictory to AC, cozy cabin of Mr.Anand) is LAZY.
Why?
Because he has a stubble and he is more busy holding the gun rather than the Razor.

2. The porter, loadman who is busy running around whole day, doing the job which only a man can do. Sleep half-stomach, so that his wife & children can have a full meal, is actually insensitive to women's feelings.
Come-on boss he has a stubble!!!!!!

3. Men in India who are burning their heels to just get a job and make a living, are actually Lazy. You need the proof, SEE THEIR STUBBLE.

I wont be surprised if WALS certifies even Shri Guru Gobind Singh & all sikhs also lazy (with all the due and highest respect to him & all my sikh friends). Resorting to such cheap tactics to get their business running. Puts the all of India to shame.

If you think you are man enough and have EVERY RIGHT to sport a stubble call up Mr.Anand and drop him an email to tell him the kind of work he is doing

You got 10 Rupees you make the decision, you eat or you shave!!! Well if you choose the first option WALS wont let you live and if you choose the second your stomach wont. Great choices.

Dear friends
Study this small story, Hope that makes a BIG change in YOU

Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it.
He held it up for all to see & asked the students
"How much do you think this glass weighs?"

'50gms!' ..... '100gms!' .....'125gms' ...the students answered.

"I really don't know unless I weigh it," said the professor, "but, my
question is:

What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?"

'Nothing' .....the students said.

'Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?' the
professor asked.

'Your arm would begin to ache' said one of the student

"You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?"

"Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis
& have to go to hospital for sure!"
..... ventured another student & all the students laughed

"Very good.

But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?"
asked the professor.

'No'.... Was the answer.

"Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?"

The students were puzzled.

"What should I do now to come out of pain?" asked professor again.

"Put the glass down!" said one of the students

"Exactly!" said the professor.

Life's problems are something like this.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.

Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able
to do anything.

It's important to think of the challenges or problems in your life,
But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to 'PUT THEM DOWN' at the end of every day
before You go to sleep..

That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong &
can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

Very recently the National Commission for Women
(NCW)<http://legalfighter.wordpress.com/2009/10/18/ncw-is-a-fabulous-organization/>,
proposed revolutionary recommendations in Section 125 CrPC which deals with
maintenance to children, parents and spouse by men. Without going into
details, I will cut the crap short by highlighting the gist of the
recommended amendments,

"*A man cannot deny maintenance citing insufficient funds as the reason even
if he has to maintain an adulterous wife. It is the duty of a man to
maintain his wife irrespective of sufficient means.*"

Immediately seeing the recommendations, I felt that if we extend the
arguments to other areas of life, so many problems can be solved, for e.g.

1. An email can no longer cite "insufficient bandwidth" as a reason to
arrive late in your inbox. It is the duty of an email to reach an inbox
irrespective of sufficient bandwidth.
2. An employer can no longer cite "insufficient funds" as a reason for
not giving hike. It is the duty of every employer to give hike to their
employees of irrespective of sufficient funds.
3. Government can no longer cite "insufficient funds" as a reason for not
laying down roads. It is the duty of every Govt. to lay down roads
irrespective of sufficient means.
4. A mobile operator can no longer cite "insufficient network" as a
reason for not being able to connect mobiles. It is the duty of every mobile
provider to connect mobiles irrespective of sufficient network.

And the list continues. However, this was just an illustration of how one
recommendation by the NCW has given a way to solve so many other problems we
are facing. We need more organizations like the NCW who can recommend such
brilliant suggestions to solve daily problems.

Coming back to the original problem, not sparing men of maintenance even if
they have insufficient funds can be solved more effectively rather than
spreading male hatred. The WCD Ministry gets Rs. 7248 Crores annually for
Women Empowerment, however, considering the fact that they consider only
`wives´ as women, NCW can provide maintenance to wives (even the adulterous
ones) by making a trust out of the Rs. 7248 Crores with some suitable name
like "*Wives Welfare Fund (WWF)*" and pay wives (even the adulterous ones)
from the interest of the trust.

Also, anyways as 82 % of taxes are paid by men, so the women will anyways
get the money of men.

Kudos to NCW for the brilliant suggestion solving so many problems.

Dowry - A Industy! A Nexus!

Hello everybody,

This is about a age old culture of giving & taking dowry(emphasis on giving first).

I have never liked history for the dates and stuff but always loved the story & reasoning behind big histories, so the big history behind this culture --> From a article i read on web(you may have to google it), dowry practice actually started somewhere in middle of Europe, spain i guess and it came to India with them(just like cockroaches came from US).

Why did dowry start? Earlier girls didnt have a share in parents properties, so their fathers during their marriage would give them their share in form of gift/dowry and established it as a culture. Slowly, the men started to look forward to it, but why? Because, Girls dad would try to lure a GOOD GUY with all he has to offer. Now if a guy has a choice[In arranged marriage in India it is a matter of choice/options and not love before marriage] of two similar/equal girls, it is quite obvious he will chose the girl who brings in more wealth to HER OWN home. Then does it become wrong to demand all that the guy has been promised?

Definition of a GOOD GUY: (In the priority as listed below)

1. The amount of ancestrol property he owns/shares (If there are multiple kids, his share will be calculated, so if a guy is all alone without brothers & sisters, he ranks v.high because there cant be any disputes)

2. His present income. (People with standard income like interest from loan given, rents for various flats or buildings are given priority because it gives the girl(read as kids, to be misguided) standard income even if she loses hubby.)

3. Number of sisters. (As they are going to take away a considerable chunk in marriage expenses and dowry, remember we are talking about India, known for its lavish weddings)

4. Habits of guy. The guy should not have any bad habits.(Only to ensure the earned money doesnt flow out from the other end.)

5. Age of guy. Ofcourse the younger the better. You know what this is for ;-)

6. Looks of guy.

7. Education and other qualities of guys.

Let me re-phrase the above,

1. Money!
2. Money!
3. Money!
4. Money!
5. Quality.
6. Quality.
7. Character.

So it is quite evident that the base of relationship[Marriage] as looked out by the girls side is Money!

So is it really bad if the guy expects(not demands) that the girl brings in some share to HER OWN HOME. Afterall he(actually even his ancestors) has/had/have been working so hard to make the guy look appealing to the girl? I am not promoting dowry but im confused about its correctness in the sense it is seen today. Afterall the girl demands her share from her hubby's and his ancestoral property as soon as the knot is tied. Even if you are married to a girl just for a second, she can claim maintainance from you.

To make a marriage work a guy puts his hard-work, family, money, fame on the plate & you expect the girl to just putin her hard-work[Yes I believe home-making is also a pretty demanding thing]. Isn't it un-fair? If she brings something from her maternal home during marriage, wont it help her developing her OWN HOME? After all she is going to ask a pretty share if for some reason the marriage doesnt work, even if it because of her own mistake.

After-all the girls side always has the option of walking out of marriage[before marriage] if they feel they are pressured. No-body is asking them to get the girl married on gun-point!

I guess that was too much of history & philosphy on dowry. Now to the basic topic again, how is this a Industry and what is the Nexus behind it... read on... Just for your understanding... the Nexus behind is the Indian Government, Politicians(esp. judges), Judiciary, Police & lawyers....

Do you know there are various laws like 498A, Dowry Prohibition Act, Domestic Violence Act, etc... which protect women against dowry & cruelty on women for dowry? You feel proud of India & be an Indian. Now let me tell that more than 1,18,000 women [Yes that is one lakh eighteen thousand] have been arrested under these acts in the past 3 years. I dont have records since 1985, when some of these acts where brought into force. And did I tell this figure includes, age old grandmas(more than 75yrs old), pregnant women, sick women & children as small as 2months.

Now, How did an act that was brought to protect & EM-POWER women, lead to arrests of women, grannys & new-borns. I will discuss this in detail some-time later but here is the brief why. A MODERN em-powered girl, when she marries a guy, she has lot of expectations to be pampered, but if her expectations are broken or she starts having other issues, such as a extra-marital affair, a carrer oriented girl who prefers a "demanding carrer" rather than a hubby & family, she wants to get out of marriage.

Now once she has detached herself emtionally from her hubby(in many cases even children), she wants to get the maximum out of the relationship and right from the start she has been taught to give priority to money. Now how would you get maximum booty in you hands, if you ask simply or if you have the person on gun-point? Now this where our law-makers & law-enforcers jump in.

EM-POWERED/ARMED with the above said laws(used as guns), the girl with the help of WomenComission & Police make the guy & his family, including grannys, carrying/expecting/pregnant mothers & new-borns land-up in Jail, where they are ill-treated, beaten, starved. This emotinally broken family in an attempt to get the members out of jail are asked to chunk a maximum of their property, that too in cash! Remember the girl has been within the family, so she now has pretty good info about the total holdings of the family. Nodoubt the police & women-comission have a good share in this deal. No, No it doesnt end here, the law-makers are not that stupid, they wont let the police take all of that, they have made these offences non-compoundable, that is a complaint cant be withdrawn in police station, it has to be done only through court. Bingo! now the court also gets its share of bite in the Apple! :-) It doesnt end still, the girl will still claim regular/monthly maintainance even if the girl is earning handsomely and the guy has lost his job because his boss already decides the guy to be a culprit. The society reacts sharply to such incidences and v.sharply to arrests. Even if the arrest doesnt hold ground, you cant explain it to everyone that your arrest has no ground.

You are saying, this cant be as simple as I say it to be. Ofcourse it is not that simple, the girl has to go upto the police station/womens cell/comission, bring in a few tears(even if with glycerine doesnt matter) and tell that she was harrased by her husband and in-laws for dowry. No, she doesnt have to give it even in writing :-) See how much she has to work.

Alright, this must be happening but its all a exception and not general. Well do you know how big a Industry is this, as per a un-official survey this is almost a 5324crore [per year] industry. Thats just your pocket money right!

No girl would destroy her life by going to the police & courts, what would she get? This cant be accepted and is completely base-less. Answer to this is, the girl gets a very good chunk of property from the guy along with regular/monthly income. She secures her future. Of all the cases file till now under these crimes/laws only 2% of men have been proven guilty. Now you judge if all that I have said above is base-less.

So you see we have here a home-grown industry which is giving empolyment to lakhs of people jobs in the form of lawyers, judges, court staff, advisors, counsellors etc... No we cant take into count the number of people ending up job-less because of these laws, they are not job-less coz of these laws but coz of their own crimes[The crime of marrying the wrong girl].

Also the wide customer base any Indian women, married to any guy living in any part of the world can be hit under this laws. Also any women married to a Indian guy can use these laws. Wow the customer base is there in every house-hold in India and even out-side India. The coverage is right from the metros to the most down-trodden village, which would have no acess to other government facilities but is EM-POWERED.

This is a Industry which is growingly exponentially by over 100% every year, no the recession has not hit it back but has pushed it up. You analyse and tell me how!
